Applying Decals

  • Choose an appropriate object for your decal.
    – Surface must be flat and smooth.
    – Decals will stick to smooth metal, glass, paper, wood, fiberglass and most plastics.
(*Not recommended for lightly textured surfaces; walls, coolers, kayaks, tackle boxes.)
  • Clean the surface thoroughly of  ALL dirt, dust and oil. A window cleaner or general household cleaner will work.
  • Rinse the surface with warm water.
  • Wipe the surface down one last time using rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
  • Let it dry.
  • Make sure the surface temperature is moderately warm; between 50° and 85° F. (If you apply your decal in temperatures above or below this range it will reduce the decal’s adhesive performance. Also, note surface temperatures can heat up dramatically in direct sunlight.)
  • Apply your decal using good, firm pressure, straight downward with your hand. (Do not rub back and forth across decals.) Spend extra time pressing down the decal edges.
  • Congratulations! You’re all done!

General Maintenance

  • ALWAYS gently hand wash your decal with ordinary soap and water. Treat your decal with care and it will last you for years!
  • Do not rub your decal! Never use ice scrapers! Use caution with cleaning rags.
  • High pressure car washes can cause decal edges to lift.
  • Do not apply car wax over your decal. Car wax contain solvents that break down the decal’s adhesive.
