Artist Bio

Wiley Miller was a Wisconsin master fish and wildlife artist. His keen perception and passion for nature shined through all of his detailed wood carvings, acrylic paintings, illustrations, and taxidermy.

Throughout his life long career, Wiley always paid special attention to anatomical correctness and rendering realistic scenes. For 30 years he painted cover art for Fishing Facts magazine. Over the course of his prolific history, he reached a pinnacle many wildlife artists could only hope to achieve.

Miller said a long time ago, “It’s a challenge to paint the fish, birds and animals as God created them, but this is the work I wanted to do all my life.”

Wiley Miller enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and capturing the timeless beauty of nature in his art in northern Wisconsin.
